Today I had the first assignment experience with my Financial Accounting team. Learned a great deal about team members and their views.
Learned that French are happy go merry people. Heard that they are always buzzing but not drunk. Shops open at 10am, close at noon until 3pm for Lunch, and close in the evening by 7pm. So if you have to shop, better be on shop's schedule. Also heard that they have half-day working hours Wednesdays. So just 35 hrs/week. Good for them. Sounds like they work for life not the other way around.
One of my other team members is originally from Mexico. He misses his parents even at 40. He says, he is going to write a book on why Mexican population is not developing inspite of the hardwork they do.
Learned something about languages too. Heard that French and Spanish are romantic languages that came from latin origin. German is true barbaric and harsh. English and Italian are a mix of these two flavors.
So much for today.

First Day @ UTD
Finally. It happened. I started my MBA @ UTD. Looks like it is going to be a uphill battle (I am out of school for what 10+ years now). But lets see i coupe up with the pressure.
My class today was Stats. I felt very good about it. At first I was jubilant that it is addressing some of the real life problems i always wanted to tackle. But again the real reason for my comfort is that being experienced, my perspective on studies and knowledge acquisition have changed considerably. I am listening to these classes with a real hope to understand and apply it to real world.
I will keep you posted.
